Ryan “Ace” Kois was born on March 2, 1987 in Boulder Colorado. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 20, 2021, aged 33 years old. He was preceded in death by his mother, Terrie Kois. He is survived by his father Ron (Sylma) Kois, grandfather “Papa” Walt Kois, brother Buck (Christine) Kois, and his beloved sister Jawna Kois. He treasured his time with his Grandparents and too many aunts, uncles and cousins to count.
Ryan attended school at Broomfield High School, and moved thereafter to his favorite place, Keystone, Colorado. Ryan was the embodiment of hard work, mischief and energy. He was a very skilled welder, as well as proficient in any home improvement project.
In his spare time, Ryan did what he loved, snowboarding and more snowboarding. He loved to travel, most recently to Hawaii to try his hand at surfing. He was instrumental in assisting his dad and Sylma in completing their cabin in Fairplay, Colorado.
Ryan had an infectious laugh; he could fill any room with laughter and love. His compassion for his family and friends, paired with his dynamic personality and free, independent attitude, made him loved by all. He found a way to connect with people no matter where he was and was able to grab attention everywhere he went. He was one of those rare people who was completely invested in the moment and had a "Life is short" attitude.
