Pete F. Valdez

It is with great sadness that the family of Pete F. Valdez, husband, father, son and brother, passed away of heart and lung failure at the age of 63 years.

Pete will be eternally and lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years and best friend of over 50 years, Elizabeth “Liz”, his children, Pete II and Jason, by his parents Joe P. Valdez and Mary F. Padilla, and by his brothers and sisters; Kathy, Orlando, Elizabeth, Anthony, Brinda, Norman, Sammy and Deborah. Pete will also be adoringly and forever thought of by his three grandchildren, Eric, Jason Jr. and Lanai. Pete will, in addition, be remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.

He was born in Raton, New Mexico and passed away in Westminster, Colorado. He attended Fairview Elementary, Lake Jr. High and North High School, in Denver, Colorado. He received an Associates Degree in Engineering from the Denver Institute of Technology. He was employed for 20 years at Storage Technology Corporation and later at McData Corporation as a Quality Engineer and Manager of the Quality Department.

After he retired in 1995, he was the business owner and manager of a commercial cleaning and supply company, Higher Standards LLC. He was baptized in the Lutheran Faith and attended Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church where he volunteered on many committees. He coached basketball and indoor soccer and was the President of the PTL (Parent Teacher League) at Beautiful Savior Lutheran School. He started attending Risen Savior Lutheran Church.

He loved to watch his grandchildren and take them to the zoo and teach them how to fish. He enjoyed fishing, played in many pool, bowling and basketball leagues.

He truly will be missed by all.
