Patricia Enockson Obituary

Patricia Clare (Huston) Enockson

February 2, 1939 – October 26, 2018

Patricia (Pat) Clare Enockson passed away on October 26, 2018 at the age of 79.  Pat was born in Fonda, Iowa to Hazel (Bradford) and Hugh Huston.  She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

Pat grew up in Fonda, IA in a close-knit community where she had many friends.  She went to high school at Our Lady of Good Council and graduated in 1957.  She went onto college at St. Mary’s in Omaha, NE to earn her teaching certificate.  She was married on September 10, 1960 to Paul George Enockson.

She is survived by her husband, Paul George Enockson and her children, Ann McGinness (husband Charlie), Hugh Enockson (wife Gerrie), Beth Hanlon (husband Joe), Eric Enockson (wife Ginnie), Laura Propernick, Lynn Simington (husband Doug), Kate Tanaka (husband Jon) and Luke Enockson as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Pat had a variety of jobs over the years but being a mother was her greatest love.  Her children can say she loved them fiercely and it was evident in her everyday life. If there is one thing that can be said about Pat, it was that she loved unconditionally and with her whole being.   She cared so much about her family and always put everyone else’s needs above hers. When anyone needed her, she was there and listened with her whole heart and truly felt everything we felt.

Heartfelt thoughts when remembering Pat:

She loved her Irish heritage and taught her children to love it as well
She loved a strong cup of coffee, a good book and long baths
“Jammies” were her favorite clothes
She made every one of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren feel special and loved
She was the BEST Hugger EVER and always called her family “sweetie” or her “sweeties”

She taught her children how to be compassionate and kind but most importantly, how to forgive.  Not a day will go by that she will not be greatly missed. Heaven gained the most beautiful angel.

Dear Mom:  “ You are not forgotten.  Though on earth you are no more, You will always be in our memories as you always were before.”

An Irish Blessing

May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sunshine warm upon your face. May the rains fall upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.
