Nancy Marie Zelt

Nancy Marie Zelt, nee Shindledecker, passed away on June 4th, after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease and dementia.  Nancy joins her beloved husband Bill, her father Clyde Shindledecker, and her sister Jennie Pavick (Bill) in the hereafter.  Nancy was a proud graduate from Penn State University satellite campus with an Associate's Degree in English.  
 
Among Nancy's great Joy's in life were spending time with her only grandchild, Allen Zelt and following the adventures of her 3 children, Eric, Jeffry and Lisa.  Nancy enjoyed the performing arts, especially songs, movies and literature from the 40's, 50's and 60's.  Attending a live musical, orchestral performance, and seasonal concerts brought great joy.  Nancy collected literature and movies and was especially proud of her rare Steinbeck and Hemingway editions.
While raising her children, Nancy took pride in cooking, particularly baking and quilting.  Her quilts will be her living legacy. 

Nancy is survived by her mother Dorothy Shindkedecker (Clyde) of Boulder CO, her children Eric Zelt (Melissa) of Parker, CO, Jeffry Zelt of San Diego, CA, and Lisa Mahany (Kevin) of Dripping Springs, TX, and her grandson Allen Zelt (Jazmin) of Colorado Springs CO.  Nancy will be buried with her husband Bill Zelt at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
