Kenneth M. Miller, age 80, passed away in Broomfield, Colorado on March 26, 2021.
Ken was born on October 18, 1940 in Los Angeles, California to Ralph Miller and Mary (Payton) Miller. Ken grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. After marrying the love of his life, Eloise, and graduating from Iowa State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, he moved to Oak Park, Illinois and went on to work for Western Electric/AT&T. Ken later moved to Broomfield, Colorado where he spent the past 50 years. Ken retired from AT&T in 1989 and spent his retirement years working for Broomfield Hardware and later at McGuckin’s Hardware for several years.
Ken was a member of Lutheran Church of Hope of Broomfield, LCH, for many years and was a charter member of Cross of Christ, where he attended for 10 years before returning to LCH. He was a member of the choir for both churches during his memberships. Ken also belonged to the Broomfield Civic Chorus for many years. He thoroughly enjoyed playing senior softball. He loved his regular walks and bike rides and visiting with people along the way. Ken loved his hobby of woodworking; he had a unique talent of turning a weathered piece of furniture into a beautiful antique.
Ken is survived by his wife, Eloise, of 59 years, daughters; Michele and Chris, and son Mike. Ken always enjoyed spending time with his 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
