Jose Orap Macaraeg’s passing on October 5, 2021 has left many great memories to be celebrated. Jose was born on July 15, 1933 in the Philippines to Pablo and Benita Macaraeg. Jose's surviving family includes his wife of 55 years Leby, and children, Joby, Omar and Joey. His grandchildren, Jasmine, Malachi, Ivy, Serena, Eden and Skyy, loved and cherished the time spent with Jose. They will always remember the love Jose showed by spoiling them with games, laughters and gifts. As a young family man, he left the Philippines in 1971 and moved to America with better promises for his children. As a medical technologist, Jose had a passion for the health sciences. In his spare time, Jose frequently enjoyed conversations across states with his sisters, Eduviges, Milagros, Estrella, Perla, Delma, and all his nieces and nephews. His family can always depend on a Saturday phone call from Kuya or Tito Pepe, as he is known. He will be remembered as a joyful, dedicated family man, who appreciated travels abroad and enjoyed spending time with his family.
And his family will greatly miss his presence here on earth as he journeys to Heaven where one day they will all be reunited.
