Jeremy Jara Obituary

Jeremy Alexander Jara, 43, of Northglenn, Colorado, passed away on April 1, 2021 in Westminster with his family by his side. He was born on September 27, 1977, in Greeley, Colorado to Julia and Alex Jara.

Jeremy spent his early childhood in Greeley, moving to the Denver suburbs in the mid 80’s. He loved spending every summer with his grandparents in Elsie, Nebraska. Jeremy was a proud graduate of Thornton High School, Class of 1996.  His career was spent in Corporate Finance where he specialized in managing Accounts Receivable. Jeremy excelled at what he did and enjoyed his job. He has been living in Northglenn with his family for the last 15 years.

Jeremy’s great love was spending time with his family and friends.  He cherished spending time at home with his fiancé and children. They liked cooking together, watching tv, and listening to good music. Some of his favorite tv shows were: Dateline, Jeopardy and America’s Funniest Home Videos. He enjoyed listening to old school Rap, Hip Hop and R&B. Jeremy loved blasting music throughout the house and having living room dance parties with his kids.

Jeremy was a lifelong Denver Broncos fan and looked forward to a new football season every year. Some of his most prized possessions include a framed poster of Invesco Field and a custom-made Broncos jersey with matching Orange Crush Nike’s from his brother-in-law.  His first job detailing cars at a local dealership, planted the seed for his love and interest in classic cars. He liked the Fast & Furious movies, spent weekends fixing up his Jeep, and drove RC cars with his father and sons. As a family tradition, he would take his boys to the Monster Truck Show every year. Their favorite truck is GraveDigger.

He enjoyed the summer and spending time outdoors. He liked having family barbeques, taking trips to the mountains, watching movies in the park, and going swimming with his kids. Some of his favorite places to go were Estes Park, Colorado and Lake McConaughey in Ogallala, Nebraska.

Jeremy's favorite restaurant was the Armadillo, he would drive out to the last location in La Salle, just for the chips and salsa. He enjoyed the regular lunch dates that he shared here with his Mom.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his father Alex Jara.

Survivors include his mother and father Julia and Doug Group; Fiancé, Angelina Carrillo; four children, Briana, Alyna, Douglas and Noah Jara; two sisters Christina (Stephen) McKinzie and Jordan Group; along with three nieces and three great-nephews.

He will be deeply missed and never forgotten by his friends and family; especially by his children, all of whom “he loved more than life itself.”

See you later, Alligator. We Love You.
