Steve R. Pearson, Sr.

Steve Ronald Pearson, age 70, born in Santa Monica, California, passed away peacefully in Englewood, Colorado on August 21, 2018.  He spent most of his adolescent life in Huntington Beach, California, but spent a few years in Wichita, Kansas.  He spent many years in Big Bear Lake, California, and in Big River, California.  He spent the last few years in Colorado. 

Steve loved playing guitar, spending time with family and friends, and especially living in the mountains. He often amazed others by his talents with woodworking and by his green thumb.  He could put anything in the ground and make it grow.  Steve built many custom homes in Big Bear, California and was known for his beautiful workmanship whenever he worked with wood.  Steve was an animal lover.  His last dog, a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Anna, was his favorite. Christmas was his favorite holiday and he was a very fast runner all his life. He was loved very much by his family and will be missed by many in California, Arizona, Washington, Colorado, Nevada, Kansas, and Illinois.

He is survived by his 4 children: Steve Timmering, Jennifer Lissoy, Sarah Pearson and Seth Pearson. 10 Grandchildren: Nicholaus, Brooke, Paige, Jakson, Savannah, Gianna, Faith, Lukas, Kara, and Matthew. 1 Great- Grandchild: Ashtyn. 2 Sisters: Randi Morse and Bobbie Duddey. 1 Nephew: Michael Englebaugh. 4 Neices: April Barg, Marni Swisher, Joey Parker and Laura Parker.

Services will be held at St. Mary’s By the Sea Church in Huntington Beach @ 12:30 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018. A reception will be held at Lake Park Clubhouse immediately following Mass until 6:00 p.m.
