Scott Alan Tanner, age 56, of Arvada, Colorado was born on July 9th 1962, in Lynwood, California to Alan L Tanner and Shirley J Tanner while his father was on active duty with the U.S. Navy. He was the oldest of two sons.
Scott passed away on January 25th 2019, in Lafayette, Colorado. He is survived by his parents, Alan & Shirley Tanner of Northglenn, CO brother Kevin Tanner of Parker, CO, sons Andrew Tanner, Michael Tanner and step daughter April Guerra and Husband Frank, Grandchild Izaiha and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Scott attended grade and junior high school in Northglenn, CO and graduated from Thornton CO high school. He later attended college at Metro State in Denver, Colorado where he received an AA degree in Criminal Justice.
Scott then enlisted in the US Army infantry and was eventually stationed in Baumholder Germany and later to Fort Carson Colorado.
After the Army, Scott worked for various companies in and around the Denver area where he developed many life long friendships within these companies.
Scott had a passion for sports and played soccer in high school. When his sons were old enough, he also coached them in youth soccer. Later he studied and was certified as a soccer referee for men's and women's soccer teams in Colorado which he had been doing until his death.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
