Nancy Geraldine (Beatty) Stewart, age 91, passed away in Thornton, Colorado on Friday, November 15, 2019.
Nancy was born on November 7, 1928 in Fayette County, in the township of Wayne, in the state of Ohio. She was born to Luke Beatty and Clara (Bryant) Beatty. She lived in Ogden, Utah and worked at Hill Air Force Base as a staffing Specialist until retiring in 1983. Nancy was a member of Emery Chapel AME Church and served as Steward, Member of the Steward & Finance Commission, Assistant Secretary of the Official Board and Assistant Treasurer until she relocated to Denver, Colorado in 1995.
During her career she received 3 Outstanding Performance Ratings, 2 Sustained Superior Performance Awards, 1 Recognition Award, 5 Outstanding Letters and 6 Letters of Appreciation.
Nancy enjoyed many sports. She was both an accomplished bowler and golfer. In her bowling league she received trophies for High Average, High Series and High Game. In golf she was the Woman’s Club Champion of Hill Air Force Base Golf Association ten times, (1970, 1972, 1974-1976, 1979 and 1987-1990).
Nancy is survived by her twin sister Imogene Beatty, and her two sons, Jeffrey Michael Stewart and Paul Kevin Stewart. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Scott Stewart and brothers and sisters; Florence, Rose, Bernice, Carl, Hazel, Doris, Nolan, and Clark.
