Zoe Erisman passed away peacefully on Monday, August 29, 2022 at the age of 79.
Born on January 5, 1943 to Herbert and Jane Erisman in Cleveland, Ohio, Zoe had a lifelong passion for music and was an accomplished pianist, composer, and professor at the University of Colorado at Denver. Her concertizing career included two European tours, two tours in China, and solo concerts in Russia, Italy, Germany, England, Turkey, Macedonia, and Mexico. She performed solo concerts at the Moskow Conservatory and at Wigmore Hall in London. For many years, Zoe played in the Denver Duo with violinist Jesse Ceci, performing complete cycles of the Beethoven Violin and Piano Sonatas and the Beethoven Piano Trios.
Zoe enjoyed traveling, hiking, mineralogy, astronomy, philanthropy, the visual arts, and cuisine from around the world. Some of her last expressed interests were to be happy, travel and discover new things, and to enjoy the moment.
Zoe is survived by her sister, Sally; her children, Ann and Jade; and her grandchildren, Miriam and Madeline.
An open-house style remembrance will be held for Zoe from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at In Memoriam, located at 7290 W 119th Place, Broomfield, CO 80020. Please arrive anytime between those hours to pay your respects.
