Winifred Potter McGuigan was called home by our Lord on August 20, 2020. Wynn was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 4, 1929 to Randall and Ruth (née Bruner) Potter. She grew up in Dayton, graduating from Fairview High School. During which time she met Clarkson Henry McGuigan, II. They shared many outdoor interests, fell in love and married on May 15, 1948. In 1954, with 2 small children in tow, they moved to Florida, settling in Largo. Wynn always loved music and was involved in church choirs, often serving as choir director, as well as involvement in the local Largo Theater in various musicals. She worked by Clark’s side in the motorcycle businesses they started along with being very active in the local Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Her desire to help others led her to a nursing degree, working in several local practices as office manager. After the death of her mother in Florida, she followed Clark to Colorado, spending much time traveling in their motor home before becoming his caregiver when he became ill.
Wynn was preceded in death by her husband Clark, her sister Geraldine “Jeri” Rudolph and her granddaughter Christina Rice. She is survived by her children Ken McGuigan (Arlene) and Gayle Roberts (Jamie), 4 grandchildren; Angela Rice, Nathan Rice, Rachel Rice and Larry Baker, and 7 great grandchildren.
A private service was held for her family and Wynn was laid to rest with her husband at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
