Wilford ‘Bud’ Wertman, 90 of Broomfield, CO passed away peacefully on January 17, 2024.
Bud was born in Middleport, PA and moved to Detroit, MI during his youth. He was a Police Officer for the City of Detroit for 25 years. Bud and his beloved Rosemary moved to Canon City, CO in 1983 to spend their golden years after retirement.
Bud was preceded in death by his bride of 64 years, Rosemary, who passed away in May. He is survived by his 4 children, son Bruce (Jennifer) Wertman of Broomfield, CO; daughter Ann McBee (Sandy) of Chesterfield, MI; son Al Wertman of Canon City, CO; daughter Kathy (Boyd) McBee of Bradenton, FL; 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Family will hold a small celebration of life for Bud and Rosemary in Canon City at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made in his memory to the Humane Society of Canon City or to any Police Officers Association.
