Suzanne Carman MacDonald passed away in Lakewood, Colorado on March 14, 2024 at the age of 76 from natural causes.

She was born on March 29, 1947 in Fort Knox Kentucky to Richard Arthur Fink and Martha Fink (Martha Maria Carman). She is survived by her cousin Larry Campbell and his wife Evalynn, and their daughter Mary Wheeler, along with stepsister Vana Bolling and stepbrother Rupert Hazle.  She had several long-term friends from Buena Vista, Colorado where she lived much of her life, including Gina Lee, Elly Fithian, and Stuart Andrews.

Suzanne was placed in her final resting place during a Jewish ceremony at Foothills Garden of Memories, in the Mount Calvary Natural Garden, in Longmont, Colorado on March 21st, 2024.

She had a deep interest in people and liked meeting and learning about others from a wide variety of backgrounds, cultures, religions, and nations.  During her younger years she travelled around the world during her father’s assignments with the US army, living in the US, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Iran, France, Netherlands, and later on her own lived in Israel before making her home in in New York City and later in Colorado.

Suzanne’s major field of university study earlier in life was theology, ancient religions, and archeology, and she loved poetry.  She had a strong interest in Native American traditions.

Suzanne enjoyed spending time with animals, and she loved her dogs, cats, and horses. She had previously taught horseback riding. Suzanne managed a bookstore, Creekside Books, in Buena Vista for many years. A lifelong learner, she entered and completed law school in Denver when she was in her 50's. Suzanne enjoyed taking her friends and family to visit the Great Sand Dunes National Park, St. Elmo Ghost Town, and Cottonwood Pass. She will be missed.
