Simon Phillip James

Simon Phillip James, 53, of Arvada, Colorado, passed away on November 4, 2025.
He was a devoted husband to his wife of 16 years, a dedicated and loving father to their children, and a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army.
He was born on June 18, 1972 in Gloucester, England to Geoffrey and Denise James. They relocated to the United States in 1982. He graduated from Bellport High School in New York in 1990 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, attaining the rank of Senior Airman and accumulating honors and commendations during his deployments to Germany, Croatia, Bosnia, and beyond as a Medic.
After honorable discharge, he relocated to Baltimore, MD to earn his BS in Nursing in 2002. He then relocated to Lakewood, Colorado and worked as an ICU nurse for 13 years in a number of hospitals before retiring to dialysis nursing. He also served three years in the U.S. Army Reserve, earning the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal.
He took great pride in being a parent, being British, and tending to his garden. He is survived by his wife, Jodi, and their two children, Estelle Avery (12) and Trevor Geoffrey (9).
He will be dearly missed.
A celebration of life will take place at The Establishment at Bradburn Village at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stop Soldier Suicide, PO Box 670212, Dallas, TX 75267-0212.
