Russell Clarence Chesnut, 77, of Westminster, CO. passed away on February 26, 2025. Russ was born April 2, 1947 to Alvan & Ethel Chesnut in Downey, CA. Shortly after graduation he joined the United States Air Force serving in Cheyenne, WY. at the F.E. Warren Air Force Base. Russ was a man who wore many hats vocationally. His favorite position was working for a pipe organ repair company.

In 1973, Russ married Sonja Johnson. Russ & Sonja went on to have 2 daughters, Aliene & Erin. Russ enjoyed being in the outdoors. His favorite pastime was fly fishing. His passion for fishing took him on a great many adventures with family & friends.

Russ was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother Richard, wife Sonja, daughters Aliene (Curtis) McDaniel and Erin (Cory) Noordermeer, and his four grandsons Cort, Rylan, Sam, and Ryder.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
