Denver lost one of its most loyal fans and devoted family man on April 3, 2026. Robert Dennis Teter, known affectionately as Denny, passed away peacefully at home, leaving behind a legacy of 50 years of marriage, a distinguished military record, and a life defined by his pride in family.

Denny was a man who knew the value of a long-term commitment—whether it was his 40-year career at the phone company, his devotion to watching the Denver Nuggets with his son, or his unwavering love for his bride, Christine. A proud veteran, he served as a Specialist 4th Class in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. For his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. 

He had a deep love for photography, taking thousands of pictures after retirement. It wasn't about the art—it was about his love for his family and the Colorado landscape, ensuring he captured the places and the people he held most dear.

His greatest pride, however, wasn't found in a camera lens or a stadium, but in his three children—Brian, Jennifer, and Lisa. He watched his family grow to include seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, plus one still baking, all of whom carry on his spirit and his stories.

He is survived by his cherished wife of 50 years, Christine; children Brian (Jennifer), Jennifer (John), and Lisa; sisters Kathy (Dennis) and Bonnie (Jerome); seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents Robert and Velma. He was a man of great pride, quiet strength, and immense love for his family. He will be deeply missed by those who were lucky enough to call him theirs.
