Loving Mother Monserrat Gonzales
October 23, 1939 – July 2, 2020
Monserrat Gonzales, 80, died peacefully in her home on Thursday, July 2, 2020.
A native of Masbate, Philippines, Monserrat moved to the United States in 1992 to join her husband, Justino and four of her children. In 1997, the family moved to Lafayette, Colorado. In 2011, Justino passed away to join our creator.
Monserrat was a lively spirit who enjoyed dancing and had an easy laugh. She was a generous mother who was always ready to help. She was a devoted Catholic.
Monserrat is survived by her children, Joseph, Walter, Eleanor and Sandra, who live in Colorado, and Janet, who lives in the Philippines. Monserrat also has nine grandchildren, Yves, Yancey, Joshua, Angela, Darlene and Allison who live in Colorado and JR, Jerome, Dana and Deliza who live in the Philippines. To know Monserrat was to love her, and she will be remembered fondly by all.
The funeral will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Lafayette on Sunday, July 5th. at 3pm. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, attendees are limited. If you wish to leave flowers or well wishes for Monserrat, please bring them to Immaculate Conception Church before 3PM on Sunday.
