Mike (Michael) Goodman, 61, passed away on October 15th, 2023 in Longmont, Colorado. He was born November 13th, 1961 to Paul and Marilyn Goodman in Escanaba, Michigan.
Mike was the best dad, a devoted friend, and always a Yooper at heart.
After graduating from Gladstone High School, he attended Northern Michigan University where he earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Natural Resources. Following that, Mike moved to Colorado where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Colorado, Denver.
Colorado is where Mike made his home and created a family with the love of his life, Tami. Together they had three kids, Ben, Sara, and Mikayla.
Mike worked as an ASIC design engineer for most of his career. In his free time Mike pursued his passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, camping, biking, and hiking with friends. He was a great outdoorsman and loved being outside.
We all know that Mike will forever be looking down on us, smiling as he sings “Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog.”
Mike is preceded in death by his grandparents Wilbur and Ella Goodman; Fred and Loretta Kositzke.
Mike is survived by his children Ben, Sara (Tanner), and Mikayla Goodman. Tami Goodman, his parents Paul and Marilyn Goodman, siblings Chris (Jamie) Speaker, Terri (Bob) Goodman, Susan (Dave) DeKorte, and Sandi Goodman and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held Friday October 20th, 2023 at 1pm at Broomfield United Methodist Church with a reception to follow.
