Michael was 26 when he left this world. Most recently of Inavale, Nebraska, he was in Aurora, CO when he died on June 15, 2024.

Michael was born in Englewood, Colorado on June 1, 1998 to Brandie and Michael Andrews, Sr.

Michael was always a happy child who enjoyed school, playing sports, singing, and loved animals. As he grew, he played Little League baseball and Junior football with the City of Aurora before joining his high school football team where he received his varsity letter as the only freshman on the team.

Michael also belonged to the Civil Air Patrol from the age of fourteen where he quickly rose through the ranks, achieving the rank of Lieutenant and being awarded the General Billy Mitchell Award.

Michael graduated from high school in 2016 and realized his life-long dream of serving his country when he enlisted in the United States Army later that year.

Michael leaves behind a large and heartbroken family including mother Brandie, father Mike (Hollie), brothers Donovan, Will, Bradey and sister Destiny, grandmother Liz, great-grandmother Peggy, aunt Michelle, great-uncles Les (Mary) and Chris, great-aunts Betsy and Ginny, many cousins and an extended step-family.

Michael was preceded in death by one brother, Gabriel, as well as maternal grandparents Bill and Cathy, maternal great-grandmother Rita, maternal great-grandparents Jerry and Louise, paternal grandfather Ken, paternal great-grandfather Lane, and his paternal great-great uncle George.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at 11 am on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Westminster Christian Church located at 3575 W 96th Ave. Westminster, Colorado.

In deference to Michael’s favorite summer saying “Sun’s out, guns out!” the dress code will be summer casual instead of traditional funeral attire.

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you consider a donation to a suicide prevention or mental health awareness charity.
