Matthew “Matt” Willitts, of Frisco, Colorado, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2024. Matt was born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, on January 26, 1970 to Lee R. Willitts and Beverley K. Willitts (Wagner). He was the third of three children.

Upon his graduation from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania he moved to Summit County Colorado following his passions for the mountains, skiing, hunting and especially fly fishing. Matt founded and operated Water Solutions, Inc., a water and waste water treatment company until his passing. He married and started a family, and has two devoted children Megan Willitts and Jack Willitts.

Matt was known for his easy going, friendly and giving personality. He loved his children dearly. His passion for fly fishing is well known, and he could be found on the rivers around his home when not working or raising his family.

Matt is survived by his brother, Christian Willitts and his wife Lori, his sister Julia Carrara and her husband Richard, his children Megan Willitts and Jack Willitts, nephews and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Matt was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.
