Mary Ann Winter went to be with the Lord on June 3rd, 2021 and was surrounded in love by her three daughters.
She was born in the small town of Waupun, Wisconsin on March 3rd, 1966 to Robert and Helen Westerveld, who preceded her in death. Mary’s greatest joy in life was her family and is survived by: her daughters (Melissa Hanson, Megan Walker, Maranda Walker), her son-in-laws (Nolan Hanson, John Hanson), her granddaughter (Addison), her siblings (Susan Gustin, Gary Westerveld) and her many nieces and nephews.
Mary was a caring, selfless and strong woman who dedicated her life to helping others. She found happiness in going above and beyond for the sake of others and spent most of her career caring for the elderly in various ways. Her energy was contagious and those that had the pleasure of knowing her would agree she brought a sense of light and love to their lives.
Mary had an adventurous spirit; whether it was going on a walk or taking a ride on a Harley. One of her most favorite things to do was simply spend quality time with her girls going antique shopping, crafting and watching Hallmark movies together. She was passionate about creating traditions including baking Christmas cookies, annual birthday cakes and family dinners. She felt blessed to have been able to make memories with and pass along those traditions to her granddaughter.
Mary was much more than a daughter, mother, grandma, sister, aunt and friend. She is so very loved and will be missed by many.
