Martha “Marti” June Harris moved to her heavenly home on March 8th, 2026.  

Marti was born April 20th, 1940, to Hubert and Kathleen Gray of Bethany, MO.  She was always a firecracker, being involved in cheerleading and athletics at Leon High School, and Northwest Missouri University.  She graduated with a degree in Physical Education and a teaching certificate in 1962.

Marti married Richard “Dick” Harris in 1962, and they lived in California and Washington before settling in Boulder, CO in 1966.  Marti taught cheerleading and gymnastics at Fairview High School until leaving to have her family in 1974.   In 1980 after the birth of her second son, Marti returned to teaching local fitness classes for the City of Boulder, where she remained a storied and much beloved aerobics and fitness instructor by “Marti’s Crew” for almost 40 years.  Marti was passionately involved with her church, serving as a Sunday school teacher, vacation bible school facilitator, and deacon for many years.

Marti is lovingly remembered by her husband Dick, her sister Judy Tull, brother John Gray, sons Richard and Kenneth, and their families.
