Manolo de la Puente Obituary

It is with much love that we mourn the passing of Manuel “Manolo” de la Puente.

Adoring father of Eric. Beloved son of Jacoline Schot and Luis de la Puente; dearest brother of Christina and Maria (Maurizio); loving brother of: Oli (Frank), Santi (Kelsi), Tom (Elena), Mili, Diego, Mica, Caro, and Rod. Fun uncle to nearly a dozen nephews and nieces.

He will be lovingly remembered by many whose life he influenced in some great or small way. Always ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He had a beautiful smile and a peculiar sense of humor - that certainly had a way of bringing laughter and of lightening the spirit of those around.

An entrepreneur, building his own English teaching company; and more recently having set up a nutrition and fitness coaching online business. He was an avid student and graduate in Nutrition Science (with a certificate from Stanford.)

Manolo was a man of many passions including but not limited to, a health enthusiast, fitness trainer, noted traveler, cheese connoisseur.

Forever remembered, as an honest and loyal fellow, a fun dad, a fit and handsome man (the perfect combination of Peruvian and Dutch roots), a quiet and reserved gentleman, determined and committed, an encyclopedia for health food, very knowledgeable in the art of detoxification.

In a phrase - devoted father, generous, and noble soul, as his sister, Maria, stated so beautifully.

Manolo will be laid to rest in a private ceremony with his family in Mexico City. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and details will follow on this page.

In lieu of flowers, drink a green juice, workout, and be kind to your body in honor of Manolo.

GoFundMe me has been established to help offset funeral costs and support Manolo's son, Eric. Please consider a donation to help us honor him and his legacy.

There are a lot of unanswered questions that the family is navigating during this difficult time. Condolences on Manolo's "Tribute Wall" are appreciated and encouraged. Please afford the family some privacy while they endure the first few days of coping with this monumental loss.
