Linda Pearl Gerk (Garrison) also lovingly known as Pearl, passed away after suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease on December 1, 2019 in Broomfield, Colorado at the age of 69.
Linda is survived by her husband Jim Gerk and daughters Chanel Pounders and her husband, Brian; Kisha Babcock and her husband, Dave. She leaves behind six grandchildren: Jimmy, Jayci, Jake Pounders and Izzabella, Jaxon, Tyler Babcock. She also leaves her dad, Jack Garrison; her sister Cindy Wood and her husband, Ben; brothers Larry Garrison and his wife, Gail and Jack Garrison.
She is preceded in death by her mom, Colleen Garrison; her cousin Jimmy Cooper and all her grandparents.
Linda was born on November 14, 1950 in Montrose, Colorado to Jack and Colleen Garrison. She was the oldest of four children. Linda met Jim while he was teaching at Montrose Jr. High. They married in Montrose, Colorado at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Soon they moved to Westminster and started a family before settling in Broomfield. Linda loved working on craft projects, baking and decorating cakes and most of all, spending time and taking care of her grandchildren.
There will be a rosary at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 9:30 am. The funeral mass will follow at 10:00 am. Reception to follow.
