Leonard was born in Fulton County Rochester, Indiana on May 10, 1949 to James E. Ginn and Esther “Louis” (Rhoades) Carlson.
Leonard grew up on his grandparent's farm (Garrett E. Ginn and Mary (Burns) Ginn) in Fulton County Indiana, and later attended college at Purdue University in Indiana.
Leonard was a jack of all trades and was always a hard worker. Leonard had six children and was the father of Dawn Grubbs, David Ginn, Charlie Ginn, Amy Ginn, Douglas Ginn and Sam Ginn; and had several grandchildren.
Leonard loved to ride his motorcycle all year long, when he was able to; and always love Colorado for the mountains.
There will be no service held for Leonard, but he will be cremated per his wishes; and ashes scattered in Black Hawk, CO, where he enjoyed to spend some of his leisure time.
Leonard also enjoyed the local dog tracks and believed the retired greyhounds should go to good homes when they retired. In honoring his memory, you may donate to the Colorado grey hound adoption agency.
