Lane D Anderson Obituary
Lane D. Anderson, age 66, a beloved husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on March 30, 2026.
Lane was known for his kind spirit, quick wit, and deep love of sports—especially his cherished Montana Grizzlies and Minnesota Vikings—but most of all, he loved being called Grandpa. He brought warmth and humor to those around him and was deeply loved by family and friends. He will be profoundly missed.
Born to Donald J. and Joyce C. Anderson, Lane grew up in Plentywood, Glendive, and Billings, Montana, and graduated from Billings West High School in 1978. He went on to study business at Eastern Montana College, graduating in 1982, and later earned his master’s degree in business from the University of Montana.
Lane is survived by his wife, Susan; his children, Kyle Anderson and Kori Gonzalez (Leobardo); twin grandsons, Ethan and Nolan, and a granddaughter expected in June. He is also survived by his parents, Donald J. and Joyce C. Anderson; his brother, Jay D. Anderson (Jennifer); his aunt, Jane Evenson; his cousin, Jade Evenson (Judy); and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Lane’s memory to the Alpha-1 Foundation. Lane lived with Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, a genetic condition, and showed great courage in facing its challenges, particularly over the last 16 years. Donations can be made online at www.alpha1.org/donate or sent by mail to Alpha-1 Foundation, 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Gables, FL 33134.
