Kristen Rose Pearson Obituary

Kristen Pearson had an exceptional appreciation for beauty. She consistently pursued ways to bring more loveliness into the world, such as working discarded scraps into creative and distinct works of art. If you knew her, you knew she was a maker and an artist. Kristen loved others deeply including her parents, Tim and Portia Pearson, her maternal grandmother, Bette Blackman, her four sisters Kyla (deceased), Keri, Rachel, and Danielle.

Additionally, she was a proud aunt of 13 nieces and nephews. And importantly, she had an enduring love for a son who was placed for adoption. A hallmark of Kristen's adult life was her desire to learn. She dedicated hundreds of hours to learning chemistry, physics, and math driven by an intrinsic interest and curiosity. These interests often manifested through her art and use of natural materials, like gems and wood.

Hiking and visiting Boulder Creek were a couple other ways that Kristen enjoyed spending her time. Fittingly, she volunteered at the Butterfly Pavilion. Gymnastics always had a special place in her life, first as a gymnast, then as a coach. She was gifted with children and engaged with them in a lovely way.

Her experience in life was not an easy one. She experienced tremendous sorrow and pain. Yet, as in her art, she endeavored to use the fragments to create things of beauty. Proof of that was when she created “Finding Hope” jewelry which was given to those experiencing medical hardships.

Kristen will be dearly missed. Her smile was luminescent and her soul was golden. The hole she leaves in the hearts of those who loved her will never be filled.
