Kenneth Sneed

Kenneth Sneed, a devoted Christian, loving husband, father, grandfather, and respected engineer, passed away peacefully on 3/19/2026. He was 71.

Born to S.R. and Bobbie Jean Sneed, Ken built a life marked by professional excellence and entrepreneurial spirit. As an engineer, he combined his technical expertise with an innovative mindset, solving every problem in front of him. 

Above all his accomplishments, Ken cherished his family. He married the love of his life, Catherine Jo Sneed, on March 22, 1980. Together they raised two sons, James (Carla De Paulo) and Tim (Malin Karlsson), and took immense pride in their grandchildren, Ada Naemi Josefin Karlsson Sneed and Daniel De Paulo Sneed. It was in their company—talking, playing, and sharing moments together—that gave him the most joy in recent years.

Ken’s faith and perseverance were also reflected in his long commitment to sobriety. A proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous, he celebrated 37 years sober on 1/6/2026. He was grateful for the life sobriety made possible and for the encouragement, accountability, and fellowship he found through AA, including the support he carried forward with humility and purpose.

A man of deep faith, Ken was a longtime member of First Christian Church in Midland, where his commitment to his beliefs guided every aspect of his life. He was also a beloved brother to Jon (Denise) Sneed, Janet (Robert) Chaney, and Karol (Dan) Black.

A service celebrating Ken's life will be held on April 8, 2026, at 4:00 PM at First Christian Church, 1301 W Louisiana Ave, Midland, TX 79701.
