Kathleen "Kathy" Syme

Kathleen was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to Norman and Lorraine Jones. Kathleen "Kathy" met the love of her life, Alger, when she was only 18. After they married in 1969, life proved to be an adventure. Their love for missions took them all throughout the United States and throughout Latin America, as they taught others about faith. They had four cherished children.

Kathy was a talented nurse, serving both the pediatric and geriatric populations. She was an avid reader and loved to play the piano. Moreover, she was a dedicated mother, always sharing her tenderness and generosity with her children.

She is survived by her four children - Phillip (Ann), Matthew (Pam), Bonnie, and Cindy, along with her five grandchildren - Henry, Cora, Jeremiah, Erika, and Alex. Brothers Ken (Phyllis) Jones, Gary (Dottie) Jones, and Sister Heather (Patrick) Feeley. She is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Lorraine Jones, and her husband, Alger Syme. 

A funeral service will be held at Risen Savior Lutheran Church on Thursday March 19 at 12:00pm.

Kathy will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
