It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joyce Keeling, beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who left us on July 4, 2025 at the age of 78. Born in Rocky Ford, Colorado, she was the daughter of Noble and Mary Mason. Joyce graduated from Lakin High School in 1965 and on June 13, 1966, she married John Callen Keeling of Scott City, Kansas. They raised two daughters LaShawn and Hayley.
Our Mom was known for her kindness to so many, and her dedication to her family. She dedicated her life to working as a court clerk for Adams County Courts for over 25 years. Our Mom also celebrated 51 years as a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in the Torchbearer Kappa Chapter.
Joyce was preceded in death by her father, Noble Mason, mother Mary Mason, husband John Keeling, and sister Joan Wagner.
She is survived by daughters and their spouses; LaShawn Torres (Andrew Torres), Hayley Bavero (Mike Bavero), grandchildren; Savannah Boone (Seth Boone), Mariah Torres, and Charley Bavero, great-grandchildren; Graham Boone and Marigold Boone, siblings; Connie Foster and William Mason, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joyce will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
A committal service will be held on August 1, 2025 at 10:30 am at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236.
