John William Rommelfanger, age 75, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, in Westminster, CO, surrounded by the love of his family after a courageous battle with cancer.  

John was born on April 22, 1950, to Germaine and Ernest Rommelfanger in Omaha, NE. He is survived by his loving wife of over 52 years, Veronica (Bodnar) Rommelfanger, his beloved daughters Lisa (Wendell) Young and Amy (Kirk) Theis; cherished grandchildren Tennyson and Paeyton Young, and Violet and Henry Theis; brothers and sisters Diana Fox, Rosan Royal, Karen (Mike) Nielsen, Mary Beth Rommelfanger (Gary DeLancey), Robert (Marybeth) Rommelfanger, Daniel (Mary) Rommelfanger; as well as many adored nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents. 

The majority of John’s career was in the Telecommunication industry. After his retirement, he became a dedicated Realtor and showed deep commitment to his community by volunteering countless hours with multiple organizations working to protect and ensure the health and safety of his neighbors, fellow retirees, and seniors. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hiking, walking, and spending time with family and friends. He loved to get to know people wherever he went; no one was a stranger for long. John was a beloved son, husband, dad, grandpa, brother-in-law, godfather, uncle, cousin, and friend. 

A Rosary Service will be held on July 29,2025, at 10:30 am at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church in Broomfield CO, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 am with a light reception immediately following. A graveside service will take place at 2 pm on July 29, 2025, at Broomfield Commons Cemetery.
