Joel Koehn, born February 9, 1950, in Minnesota, passed away on January 5, 2026, in Colorado. He was raised in Wessington Springs, South Dakota, and served in the military before making Colorado his permanent home. He later married Keo Krohmer.
Joel is survived by his children, Jodi Sarntee and Justin Koehn (Alayna Koehn); his grandchildren, Keana Lance and Jailyn Thoe; and his great‑grandchildren, McKinley and Wyatt Lance. He is also survived by his brothers, Gary and Tom Koehn, as well as his longtime friend, Cathy Glaze.
Throughout his career, Joel was recognized for his strong work ethic and his expertise as a master motorcycle mechanic. He will always be remembered for his fun and boisterous personality!
A Celebration of Life will be held in the warm months of 2026.
