Jeanne Terry, 98, Beloved Mother, Storyteller, and Community Member.

Jeanne Terry, age 98, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. A cherished mother, grandmother, friend, and enthusiastic supporter of her active adult community, Jeanne lived a long and joyful life marked by resilience, positivity, and deep love for those around her.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her son Robert Fitzgerald, and is survived by her devoted children, Richard, Michael, and Carolyn Terry, Deanna Tanner and Connie Kirby, 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Her legacy lives on through them, in the many stories she shared and the values she instilled — perseverance, kindness, and an unshakable positive outlook. Prior to raising a family, she was a musician performing both as a pianist and operatic singer. Her love and passion for music, arts and learning continued until her last days of life, bringing her joy and peace, as well as love to those around her.

Never one to be deterred by adversity, Jeanne approached life with grace and optimism. She was a treasured member of the Broomfield community, where she found great joy in participating in senior services activities. Her cheerful spirit and enthusiasm were contagious, and she formed lasting friendships wherever she went.

Known for her captivating storytelling and warm demeanor, Jeanne had a remarkable ability to make others feel seen, heard, and uplifted. Her stories — filled with humor, wisdom, and heart — connected generations and reminded all who listened of the beauty in everyday life.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Jeanne’s life was a testament to the power of positivity, and her memory will continue to inspire all who carry her spirit forward.

A celebration of life will be held to honor Jeanne and the joy she brought into the world, on December 6, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Broomfield Community Center, Lakeshore room.
