James Bradley Draxler Obituary
James Bradley Draxler, 69, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026. A devoted son, brother, uncle, and public servant, Jim will be remembered for his unwavering integrity and his deep-seated commitment to his family.
Born on January 15, 1957, Jim was the son of the late Donald J. and Ilene Draxler. He spent his professional life in service to his country, completing a distinguished career of over 30 years with the federal government under the Office of Inspector General.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jim was a man of many passions. Jim took PRIDE in his lifestyle, possessed a lifelong love for music and was an avid enthusiast of fine automobiles—most notably his GTI, "Max Lobo." A loyal fan of the San Francisco 49ers, he spent many seasons cheering them on with the same fervor he applied to all his interests.
Above all, Jim was a family man. His family takes great comfort in the fact that he rarely missed a Christmas at home. His kindness and gentle nature earned him the love and respect of all who knew him.
Jim is survived by his siblings, who will miss him dearly: his brother, Dave Draxler (Cassandra); and his sisters, Diane Nanovich, Patricia Krohn (Bill), and Doni Ellis (Michael). He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Don and Ilene.
The family will have a private Celebration of Life at a later date to honor Jim’s life and legacy. We look forward to sharing more information regarding the Celebration with family and friends in the coming weeks.
In his memory, may we all find time for the things that bring us joy and the people who bring us home.
