Gregory Lee Ross passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2019 in Arvada, Colorado. He was born September 10, 1953 to Robert Lee Ross and Ruth Gertrude “Wendy” Ross in El Paso Texas. He graduated from Ranum High School and attended the University of Northern Colorado, where he earned his degree in Special Education.
He was married in 1980, and was the proud father to Jon David “J.D.” and Rory Daniel.
Greg was a man of faith and lived his faith daily. He spread God’s love through teaching at Sunday School, Bible studies, and preaching. His faith was apparent in the way he treated others.
He loved the Broncos, the Avalanche, fishing, sports card collecting, and writing poetry. He dedicated his life to helping others and had a passion for those with special needs. During his career he taught at Rivendell, Northeast Middle School, Northglenn High School, and Fletcher Miller. In retirement he worked at North Metro Community Services. He loved his family, friends, and students very much.
He is predeceased by his parents, Robert Lee and “Wendy” Ross, and his son, Jon David Ross. He is survived by his son, Rory Ross, his sister, Tammy Leschnik, nephew Andrew Leschnik, niece Kristan Leschnik, great nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 27th, at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster Christian Church, 3575 W 96th Ave, Westminster, Colorado 80031.
