Gregory Olivas Hageman 45, was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico December 9, 1980 and entered eternal rest January 11, 2026 in Thornton, Colorado. He was welcomed into a large family led by parents James H and Mary S. Hageman. He was raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico and excelled at every sport that he participated in.
He is survived by wife Lee Anna (Vigil) Hageman and sons Oscar and Simon, parents James S. and Mary H. Hageman, siblings Rachel A. Pinkney, Elizabeth S. Schwartz, James R.C. Hageman, Kristy D. Hopper, Bethany J. Hageman, Thomas W. Hageman, Eric A. Hageman and their significant others, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine J. Hageman.
He graduated from Mayfield High School and joined the US Army immediately after high school. He spent the majority of his military service stationed at Ft Lewis, Washington and completed two tours in Iraq and Korea where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. He transferred to Ft Carson, Colorado in 2005 and met his wife, Lee Anna. They quickly married and started a family to include sons, Oscar and Simon of the family home.
He completed his Bachelor’s degree at Colorado State University - Pueblo, graduating with a degree in Business Administration-Finance and received an Internship with Veteran’s Affairs. He proceeded to excel at his career which spanned 16 years. Greg worked his way to the title of VA Rocky Mountain Network (VISN 19) Prosthetics Program Manager and prided himself on providing quality care to fellow Veterans.
Outside of work, he was also proud to have volunteered with the Democratic National Committee for the 2008 Election and had the honor of meeting President Obama in Pueblo, Colorado. He displayed passion, support, and allegiance to the Chicago Cubs, New England Patriots, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Lakers, and could be found on the sidelines of his children’s activities of soccer, wrestling, and cross country/track.
Greg’s legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched as a dedicated father, helper, and friend.
A celebration of Greg’s life will be held on Friday, February 13th, 2026. Services will be held at Norte Dame Catholic Parish (2190 S Sheridan Blvd Denver, CO). Rosary will be held at 10:30am followed by mass at 11am.
Final Interment will take place at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at 2:15pm.
