Ginette Abrahamson Obituary

Ginette Faye Abrahamson, 72, of Westminster, Colorado, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, of natural causes.

Ginette was born on September 1, 1952, to James and Denise Majors and grew up in Boone, Iowa. In 1980, she married her beloved husband, Dave, and together they shared 44 wonderful years before his passing. Shortly after getting married, they moved to Colorado, where they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. The couple enjoyed traveling, especially their cherished trips to Mexico. In recent years, Ginette continued her passion for travel with her daughter, Tara, exploring Europe, New York, and the Caribbean.

Ginette had a deep love for learning and teaching. In her early years, she worked as an English and Drama teacher, inspiring her students with creativity and passion for the arts. Later in life, she transitioned to working with workers’ compensation cases, where she applied her intelligence, dedication, and compassion.

Family was at the center of Ginette’s world. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Tara (Justin Trujillo) of Arvada, Colorado, and a proud and loving grandmother to her two grandsons, Lucas Trujillo and Austin Trujillo. She treasured watching Lucas play sports and enjoyed going to the movies with Austin, creating countless special memories with them.

Ginette is also survived by her siblings, James (Judy) Majors, Mike (Marj) Majors, Sandra Hall, and JoAnn Van De Pol, as well as many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave, and her parents.

A celebration of Ginette’s life will be held on May 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Legacy Ridge West Clubhouse, W 105th Way, Westminster, CO 80031. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Dumb Friends League, honoring her love for animals.

Ginette will be remembered for her warmth, adventurous spirit, and the deep love she had for

her family and friends. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but her legacy of kindness and

joy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
