Evan M. Colvin, 36, of Broomfield, CO passed away unexpectedly April 21, 2026. Evan was born in Pittsburgh, PA on April 4, 1990 and moved to Colorado in 2009 to attend college.

 

A Data Engineer by profession, Evan graduated from the University of Colorado Denver. He held a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with concentrations in Applied Mathematics and Probability & Statistics. 

 

Evan was an avid hiker and gifted photographer. His love of the Colorado landscape is captured in his extensive collection of beautiful scenery and wildlife photographs. Evan was also pursuing his private pilot's license. While he enjoyed attending Rockies games, Evan was a diehard Pittsburgh Pirates fan. 

 

Evan will be remembered by family and friends as a young man of integrity, intelligence, strength and compassion. He had an adventurous spirit, an infectious laugh and a great sense of humor. 

 

A loving son, brother, uncle and loyal friend, Evan will be profoundly missed. 

 

Evan is survived by his mother and stepfather Kathleen and Frank Eppink, his sister Sarah (Chris) Sanders, beloved niece Savannah and nephew Nash, and stepsister Hilary (Evan) Dearth. He is also survived by his father Edward Colvin. 

 

Burial will be private. A celebration of Evan's life will be held later this summer on the Mesa Trail in Boulder County, CO.
