Dorsey, Doris J., 87, of Broomfield, Colo., formerly of Haysville, KS, passed away November 9, 2021.
She was born Doris June Stockstill on July 13, 1934 in Tonkawa, OK., as the youngest of seven children to William Daniel and Ada Stockstill.
Doris was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. When Doris wasn't busy raising three children, she was a bookkeeper for Dorsey Drugs and later at Lee Enterprises in Wichita. Kenneth owned and operated Dorsey Rexall Drugs in Haysville, KS, but Doris was silent partner that kept the home front running smoothly and efficiently, allowing Ken to focus on the drugstore. Doris loved to go traveling, camping, fishing, and water skiing.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Kenneth Dorsey, her parents Dan and Ada Stockstill, and siblings Stanley, Homer, Bob, Fred, and Dorothy. She is survived by her sister Betty, her three children, Susan, David and Michel, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, December 12, at Chuy's, 6595 W. 104th Avenue, Westminster, CO 80020. Memorial: Alzheimer's Association.
