It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Diane Louise Boatman on Saturday 13, 2023, in Boulder, Colorado. Born January 2nd, 1962. Aged 61.
She married the love of her life, Conrad Eric Boatman, in 1980, who sadly preceded her in death in 2006. Incredibly loving mother to their three children, Zach, Lauren, and Hillary (Steven Kaeberle). An amazing grandmother to her grandchildren, Tommy and Aspen. Sister to Steve (Cindy) Bowell, and John Bowell. Aunt to several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her older sister Carey Bowell, parents, Jack, and Carol Bowell.
She was a lifelong resident of Boulder and pillar in her community while working compassionately as an advocate for homeless people. She is well known and respected by many in that community and will be missed. She also dedicated her earlier years to being an amiable CNA for the elderly and was adamant about giving them the best love and care they deserved for 20+ years. She was a remarkable artist, from jewelry making, bead work, to painting. Loved to write in her journals, poems, and short stories. Nature was one of her most prized joys. The mountains are where she belonged and felt most at peace. We know she is there now with our father sipping coffee by the campfire. Words can not express how crushed we are to lose her, but also know we have the best of memories in our hearts to keep us smiling for a lifetime.
There will be a celebration of life in July at Grand Lake. For details, please contact Hilary at hillaryboatman@rocketmail.com
