My beloved wife Debbeye passed away from complications due to Covid 19 on December 11, 2020 at the age of 65. She was born on January 4, 1955 in Kansas City Missouri, the daughter of Freemont (Monte) Yeoman Shell and Elizabeth (Betty) Corrine Sena Shell. Debbeye grew up in Colorado with her sister Natalie and her three brothers, Chuck, Steve and Phil. She has five nieces and nephews, Christopher, Steven, Penny, Logan and Maddie. She also has a grand-niece, Paige and grand-nephew, Aaron.
After working for Motown Records Debbeye joined the family printing business, Shell’s Fine Printing. After her father retired, she and her brother Steve ran the business until Debbeye left to work at another printing company. While working in the printing industry she developed many long-term friends to whom she was devoted including her self-described, “crazy a** friends”.
On October 16th, 2010 Debbeye married George A (Andy) Bentley in the backyard of their home in Broomfield, Colorado. One of her favorite activities was to golf at the Broadlands Golf Course and she and Andy played almost every weekend during the golf season for years with their good friends Rocky and Michelle. The family golf tournament has also held there for many years. Debbeye also loved to travel, cook and eat good food, especially with friends.
Services for Debbeye are yet to be determined. Relatives, friends and colleagues are welcome to attend Debbeye’s memorial service and details will follow. Please use the tribute wall on this page to leave photos, memories and stories about Debbeye for her family.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Donor Alliance.
