We are sad to share that Charlie’s long journey with Parkinson’s Disease has come to an end. He died peacefully at home with family by his side.
Charlie was born in Bronx, New York, to Charles Henry Schumacher and Mary McLoughlin Schumacher and is survived by his wife, Kathryn and children, Glen (Moire) and Kara, one grandchild, Caroline, sisters Maureen Callahan, Carol Lang (Robert) and brothers Kevin (Carol) and Brian (Denise) and several nieces and nephews.
Charlie was a graduate of Hofstra University and was honorably discharged as a 1st Lieutenant from the US Army in 1967. He began his long career as a Certified Public Accountant, initially with what is now PwC. He retired from the controller’s office at AT&T in 2007.
The family invites friends and family to an open house reception in Charlie’s honor at their home, on Sunday, July 28, 1-3 pm.
If you would like to make a donation in Charlie’s memory, please consider: Parkinson’s of the Rockies, The Davis Phinney Foundation, Parkinson’s Foundation, or TRU Care Hospice
