Blaine Palmer Obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the tragic passing of Blaine Samuel Palmer on December 15, 2024, at the age of 22. A devoted son, brother, grandson, and friend, Blaine was an integral part of his family life and their businesses of Watson Mills & Design and Schacht Mill Works, where his easygoing personality and passion were unmatched.

Blaine had an extraordinarily bright future. His commitment to his family, the business they share and the relationships he held dear reflected not just his work ethic but his deep love for those closest to him. He took immense pride and joy in contributing to something larger than himself and it showed through his actions and relationships. Blaine had a natural ability to bring joy to a day’s hard work through lighthearted jokes and just “Blaine” goofiness.

Through the guidance and support of the many faith-filled men that came before him, and his hard work on himself through the Crucible Project, Blaine began to draw closer to Jesus, finding a sense of clarity and purpose that had been missing in his life. The newfound focus brought him peace and direction for his future – particularly because he was so looking forward to becoming a husband and father.

Though his life was tragically cut short, Blaine’s kindness - especially his inviting smile offered to everyone - left an indelible mark on anyone who crossed his path. His family notes that his last words to ALL of them is “I love you!”

Blaine was born on September 5th, 2002. He is survived by his loving parents, Todd and Melissa (Visto), his siblings, Stella and Clare; grandparents, Mark and Barbara (Schlott) Palmer. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Marshall & Mona (Buttke) Visto.
