Barbara Thomson

Mrs. Barbara Thomson, 92, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 1, 2020, in Broomfield, Colorado.  She was born in the Bronx, NY, grew up in Newport News, Virginia, raised her family in Milford, CT, and also lived in Atlanta, Georgia and Charlotte, North Carolina.

She was a career administrator working in many offices.  She worked for the City of Milford Tax Department until her retirement.  Barbara loved to talk. Her hairdressers, pharmacists, and store clerks were her good friends. She was a great cook and wedding cake maker. And, she was loved by many!

Her immediate family includes her late husband, George Thomson; her children, George D. Thomson and his wife, DeeDee, of Broomfield, Colorado, and Lynn Wooten and her husband, David, of Indian Land, South Carolina; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was known as “Gram” by her grandchildren and “GG” and “Peetie Pie” by her great grandchildren who adored her.

A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held in the spring in Milford, CT when travel is safe.
