Arthur R. Light passed away on February 26, 2022 in Boulder, CO. He was born on July 1, 1949 in Jolliet, IL. He married his wife, Linda, in June 1971 in Boulder, CO. Their son, Kenneth, was born in Richland, WA in 1979. Arthur graduated from high school in Las Vegas, NV in 1967. He graduated from Colorado State University with a B.S. degree in Microbiology in 1971. He also received a M.S. degree in Microbiology from CSU in 1973.
He worked as a Microbiologist in Springfield, MO; as a Planner, a Radiological Engineer and a Manager in Richland, WA; as a Radiological Engineer and a Health Physics Specialist at Rocky Flats in Colorado; and as a Microblologist in Broomfield, CO at the city Water Lab.
He became a Master Mason in Washington State in 1990. He was also a member of Scottish Rite and of York Rite. Along with his wife, he joined Order of the Amaranth in 2000 and the Order of EasternStar in 2005. He was Worshipful Master of Mosaic Lodge No. 184 (Eastlake, CO) In 1999. He was a Royal Patron (O of A) numerous times and a Worthy Patron (OS) several times.
He was Grand Royal Patron of Colorado (O of A) in 2014-2015.
He loved to tell jokes and had an extensive mental file of them. He was a rockhound and he was Interested in rock music, science fictlon, astronomy, history, fixing cars, and travel.
He is survived by his wife Linda, his son Kenneth, his brother Harvey (and wife Claudia), his sister-in-law Vicki (and husband Jim), one cousin, several nieces and nephews, and many friends. He will be missed by many.
