Arlo River Girouard was delivered at 2:15 am, July 17th 2020, weighing 6lbs and 8oz. Although he was born a beautiful combination of his parents, Holly and Zeb Girouard, he was unfortunately born without a heartbeat due to a placental abruption.
Throughout the pregnancy and the delivery, the strongest guiding light was Taco, a 2-year-old, 4-pawed hero, whose intuition and dedication to Holly provided strength in the darkest of times.
Taco was cared for and introduced to Holly and Zeb through Low Riders of the West, a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing small dogs from high kill shelters throughout the Southwest and finding new homes for them.
Holly and Zeb appreciate everyone’s tremendous love and support throughout the pregnancy and even more so after the loss of such a beautiful embodiment of life's potential.
For those who want to express love and support, in lieu of flowers or gifts, Holly and Zeb kindly request a donation to the Arlo Fund, which will pay for medical care for the Low Riders, so other furry heroes can find their way to new homes.
