With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Andre Maurice Bujanda—a beloved father, grandfather, son, brother and proud Army veteran—who departed this life on May 25, 2025 at the age of 53.

Born on July 2, 1971 in Denver, Colorado, Andre served his country honorably in the United States Army from 2008 to 2018. His decade of service reflected a deep sense of duty and strength of character.

Beyond his military service, Andre was a talented and passionate artist, often found sketching. His artwork captured emotion and told stories in ways words never could.

A true Denver sports fan, Andre rarely missed a Broncos or Nuggets game, and his energy on game days was infectious. He had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor and a laugh that will echo in the hearts of those who loved him.

He will be remembered most for his warm heart, his sense of humor and the deep love he had for those closest to him.

He is survived by his children Dominic Bujanda, Ashley (Jared) Todaro, Alexis (Anthony) Rivera and Andrew (Chloe) Cigarroa; 7 grandchildren; his parents Roseann and Robert Villescas; his siblings Mark (Carol) Garcia, Joshua (Angel) Villescas and Matthew Villescas. He also leaves behind a large extended family and close friends who will continue to honor his memory.

A memorial service honoring Andre will be held on June 22 from 1 to 4 p.m. in Arvada, Colorado. Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.

Andre will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
