Amber (Amy) Nicole Shoemaker was born on November 26, 1983, in Denver, Colorado, and went home to the Lord on May 14, 2022, after battling stage 3 brain cancer in 2015. After several years in remission, it returned this year. Amy was an amazing warrior and cherished every moment in this world – especially with her son, Jeremiah.
Amy graduated from Nativity in Broomfield, Colorado, and went on to work at PetSmart for many years grooming animals and making close friends. She was loved by everyone that knew her. She had a big heart for animals and loved her puppies. Amy was a kind, generous, and caring human being and is sorely missed. Everyone adored Amy.
Amy is survived by her 9-year-old son, Jerimiah David Shoemaker, who was the love of her life. She is also survived by her mother, Debbie Johnson (Brian Johnson); her sister, Lisa Yalcin (Surkan Yalcin); her brother, David Shoemaker (Katie Alishouse); her grandmother, Elizabeth Boittnot, her Aunts Cheryl Marouf and Robyn Goodwin (Charlie Goodwin) She is also survived by her Nieces and Nephew Abby Yalcin, Jessica Yalcin, Austin Shoemaker, Jacob Shoemaker, Talyon Shoemaker, Adam Shoemaker, Booker Shoemaker, Josh Yalcin and her cousin Nikki Marouf. She adored every one of them. and loved them deeply.
Amy is preceded in death by Her Twin, her brother, Bobby Shoemaker; her grandfather, Clarence Boittnot; and her grandmother, Linda Murrow.
There will be a Funeral Mass on Friday, May 27th at 11:30 a.m. followed by a reception and celebration of life at Nativity of Our Lord in Broomfield. A public viewing will be from 10:15-11:00 a.m. prior to the service with a Rosary to begin at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Broomfield County Commons Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. and all are welcome to join.
