The comic. The scientist. The tiniest horse (this last one is an inside joke!). Her tolerance for hot peppers broke the Scoville scale. The mere sight of her would make any dog’s tail wag until it became a blur.
Allysse Lauren Wojtanek-Watson, 36, from Boulder, Colorado, passed away on February 2nd, 2025.
Allysse was the funniest person you've ever met, shredding everyday monotony with her sharp wit and hilarity. She had an internal strength beyond comprehension. No project was too intimidating, no goal was out of reach. She would try, fail, and keep trying as long as necessary. She was a little bit like a raven: smart, resourceful, and could build something beautiful out of things most discarded as trash.
Empathy and compassion permeated everything she did. She spoke for the powerless and voiceless at every opportunity and never saw a person struggling she didn't try to help. She loved her dogs, her friends, and her family- especially her nephews and niece- with every fiber of her being.
Allysse is survived by her parents, Ms. Leanne Wojtanek and Mr. Robert Watson, Jr; her husband, Mr. Jeffrey Ruane; and her dog, Bumble.
The funeral service for Allysse will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 21st at Niwot United Methodist Church at 7405 Lookout Rd, Longmont, CO.
